  • Board members function as advocates and communicators of TreeHouse's purpose, mission, and vision to the public-at-large.

  • New Board members are asked to review and understand the vision and to respond to ten questions about how they are being called to serve at TreeHouse.

  • Board members receive an updated Board manual annually. This manual describes the vision, purpose, responsibilities, and other details of Board activities for the coming year.

  • Board orientation is held once a year for new and existing Board members and their spouses.

  • Before each Board of Directors meeting, a special committee called Board Management gathers to ensure there is the right content and procedure for the meeting.

  • Each spring and fall, the Board conducts a retreat to examine how they are performing as a body.
